Biography
He is a melodic MacGyver, a rhythmic Jack of all trades, continually cultivating his passion for music. He wants to disturb. He wants to be moved. His is an artistic language of oversaturated Technicolor images and broad deliberate strokes. Roberge’s inquisitive nature has pushed him towards a variety of idioms, including dance, Latin rhythms, unbridled rock, traditional music, theatre soundtracks, Afro-Cuban percussions and electronic drum sequences. All these elements bear witness to an eclectic journey. He is known as a side man to notable artists such as Catherine Major, Les Tireux de Roches, Louise Forestier, Eve Cournoyer and Alfa Rococo. And he now presents us with his version of chanson francophone. His modern compositional style stems from a private universe where emotions thrive and sincerity reigns. The result is a homogeneous blend of danceable rhythms and windswept romanticism.
